“Sleep in Siwa”- A little heaven in the heart of the desert.

Sleep in Siwa is a small house located in the stunning Siwa Oasis and designed by Architect Yasmine Al El Matboly .

The house’s architecture and construction were developed using a natural building material called “Karsheef” ( a mix of mud bricks, salt, and other natural elements). The use of these materials helps keep the weather cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The ceilings inside the houses are covered with palm tree trunks, which are inspired by the traditional Siwan designs and help cool the temperature.

The ground floor entrance leads to the main living room, which is called “Al-Marbo’a” and has a fully equipped kitchen. The second floor consists of a private sleeping area, and the roof has a beautiful sitting area overlooking a large yard planted with different kinds of vegetables and fruits.
